    Warm Krupnikas

    IconicSignature drink

A spiced honey and grain spirit drink that is served hot, at room temperature or chilled. Difford's Guide describes it as popular in Lithuania as a shot that is often warmed, and Wikipedia says it may be served hot.

Wikipedia dates the drink to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the 16th century or earlier. Great British Chefs describes the recipe as based on a Lithuanian krupnikas of the 17th century. Difford's Guide repeats the tradition that Benedictine monks first made it in the 16th century.

Made with: grain spirit, honey, spices.
