Ghana
I have one sourced drink connected to Ghana. The label on each card says how: where it began, what the country is known for, what people drink there, or where the origin is disputed.
Drinks of Ghana
Signature drinks and regional ones, with the evidence behind each. A drink marked non-alcoholic has no alcohol in the traditional serve.

Pito
Northern Ghana
PopularRegional drink
A beer brewed from fermented sorghum or millet by households in northern Ghana. It is typically served in a calabash outside the producer's home, with benches set out for communal drinking. It is drunk warm or cold.
Households brew pito in small batches, and it is never found bottled or canned. Brewing is an important income for cash-poor rural families, and the calabash is part of its identity. No source fetched gives its history or dates.
Made with: sorghum or millet, water.
